As we all know, express logistics and distribution are the most important link between goods and consumers, and the various links involved in warehousing management, trunk and branch logistics, and last-mile distribution. Since the first "Double 11", problems such as large-scale warehouse liquidations and long delivery times have been a headache for both e-commerce and logistics industries.

JD.com is currently the leading self-operated e-commerce company in my country and has a relatively complete self-built logistics system. According to Fu Bing, vice president of JD Group and head of JD Mall’s logistics planning and development department, during this year’s “Double 11” shopping season, JD.com used big data analysis and prediction to temporarily open more than 40 trunk lines based on the original lines to speed up the flow of goods to ensure transportation efficiency in nearly 100 cities across the country; in addition, JD also Door-to-door pick-up service will be launched at night, and the time in some cities can be postponed to 21:00; JD.com's current nationwide automatic sorting equipment has an average daily processing capacity of more than one million. The Tongzhou automated sorting center, which has undergone technological upgrades, was officially put into operation in October and can currently handle small and medium-sized orders from all over Beijing during the "Double 11" period. In addition, intelligent robot equipment will be introduced for the first time, and two automated equipment, the robot warehouse and the robot sorting center, will be officially launched during the "Double 11" period.

During the "Double 11" period, JD.com's 3C category warehouses in nine major cities including Beijing and Shanghai will jointly speed up. Consumers who place orders on the 11th can receive the purchased goods as soon as the morning of the same day; in addition, cold chain logistics construction is also a key project of JD.com this year; and "New Dada" strategically invested by JD.com will have more than 2.5 million crowdsourcing capacity to support JD.com's logistics and distribution, becoming a supplement to JD.com's logistics business.

One of the highlights of JD.com this year is the application of artificial intelligence technology in supply chain, warehousing and distribution. According to reports, following the first delivery of JD.com’s self-developed drones on “June 18” this year, JD.com’s unmanned vehicles will begin delivery trials for the first time on “Double 11”, and drones and unmanned vehicles will also appear during the “Double 11” period.

In addition to the above three unmanned smart products, Ma Song, vice president of R&D of JD.com, said that during the "Double 11" period, JD.com also carried out a complete intelligent business layout from smart stores, JIMI unmanned customer service, smart marketing, smart supply chain, etc.

"In general, consumers will have higher and higher requirements for the 'Double 11' shopping experience, and quality shopping will be a major trend in the online shopping market in the future. "Zhao Zhenying told the author that the online shopping market that initially emerged is a typical market where bad money drives out good money. As the online shopping market continues to develop, the situation of bad money driving out good money in cities will gradually get better. "The current market is in a situation where the phenomenon of bad money driving out good money is gradually weakening. Consumers are gradually becoming aware of factors such as service quality, product brand, and product quality when shopping online. If the online shopping experience is not good, in one case, consumers will rush to online shopping platforms that have guaranteed product control and good service quality. In another case, they will return to offline shopping. ”

He also believes that the "rational consumption" proposed by JD.com is a promotional point for differentiated competition with other e-commerce platforms. Whether it can truly guide consumers to gradually realize rational consumption through JD.com's series of practices may take time, and it also needs to wait for market testing.
